About
Veronica Evers is a London-based photographer specialising in black and white documentary photography.
Appreciation of the arts was a fundamental aspect of her upbringing. Veronica’s early memories are of trips to galleries, exhibitions and live performances on each stop her family made across the globe. It was only at 21 years old, after receiving her first camera, did Veronica discover her love of photography.
Veronica spent 7 years working at the National Theatre in Prague and the impact of this experience is reflected in her photography though the role lighting and contrast play in setting the mood and tone of each image. Initially focusing on nature and architecture, Veronica transitioned to documentary/street photography as recently at 2016 thanks to the mentoring of World Press Photo winner Jan Sibik, drawn to the human element in this style. Since then she has worked to combine architecture with people and inject emotion through contrasts in geometry, light and shadow.
